Patti Valkenburg will first receive the NWO Spinoza Prize 2011 on Friday September 9 in the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague. The Spinoza Prize is the highest scientific award in the Netherlands. Patti Valkenburg receives this award for her exceptional research skills. Furthermore, she is the first communication scientist to receive this prestigious award.
On Monday, September 12 she will receive the Dr. Hendrik Muller Prize. In honor of this occasion, the symposium The school of Patti Valkenburg will take place. At this symposium, four researchers of the Center for Research on Children, Adolescents and the Media (founded by Valkenburg) will present exciting new results.
Esther Rozendaal's PhD thesis has been awarded the 2012 Dissertation Award by the Children, Adolescents, and the Media Division of the ICA. Read more...
