Inge Boot had her dissertation defense at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam September 2010. She obtained her doctorate with a dissertation on the role of concrete metaphors in the mental representation of abstract concepts. As of September 2010 she started as a PostDoc on Jochen Peter’s Vidi project. Together with Jochen Peter and Annemarie van Oosten she will investigate the impact of sexual media content on adolescence sexuality. “At first sight I might seem to be a stranger in our midst. I am graduated in experimental cognitive psychology and obtained my dissertation on a hard-core cognitive matter. Nevertheless, I am convinced that our diverse backgrounds from different disciplines will make us a powerful team. I am very much looking forward to working together on this important and challenging project.” |
