Helen Vossen studied neuropsychology at the University of Maastricht after which she started her phd-project at the department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology of the same university. Her dissertation, entiteld "Cortical processing of pain: a bridge between experimental finding and clinical implications, discusses the multidimensional character of pain. From November 2009 untill October 2010, she has worked at the University of Barcelona (Spain), giving statistical guidance in research on psychosis and schizophrenia. As of november 2010 she is working as a post-doc on the ERC-project "The Entertainization of Childhood" of prof. Patti Valkenburg. She will be focussing mainly on the relationship between media and antisocial behaviour in children.
