| Juliette Walma van der Molen (Ph.D., 1998) is an Associate Professor in the Amsterdam School of Communications Research, ASCoR, at the University of Amsterdam. In 1999 and in 2002, she received a prestigious fellowship from the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Her research focuses on television mediation, on children's fear reactions to news and entertainment media, and on the educational effects of information presented via different media. In 2004, she was appointed as a member of The Young Academy of the KNAW. Her dissertation and research have been recognized by several national and international awards. |
