Sindy Sumter is a postdoc researcher at ASCoR/CCAM. Her research focuses on cyberbullying among children and adolescents. This project titled "Empowering and Protecting Children and Adolescents against Cyberbullying” was funded through NWO’s new thematic programme Responsible Innovation. The project is carried out in collaboration with Tilburg University and Delft University of Technology.

During her PhD she investigated normal development during adolescence in relation to social evaluative fears (Developmental Psychology, Leiden University).
