4 February 2010. Suchi P. Joshi has won the Best Student Paper Award at this year's Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap 2010. The paper, entitled "Sexual Scripts in US and Dutch Female Teen Magazines: A Cross-Cultural Content-Analytic Comparison" by Joshi, Peter, and Valkenburg, was ranked as the number one paper of all submissions with a Ph. D. student as a first author. The "Etmaal" is a yearly conference, where researchers in Communication Science from the Netherlands and Flanders come together to present their most recent research, and offers an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.This year's conference was held on February 4-5 in Gent, Beligum, where Joshi received her award.
