As of September first, 2010, Doeschka Anschutz started working as the new Post-Doc for the Speerpunt program 'The Entertainization of Society'. Doeschka recently finished her PhD thesis entitled "'Beloved Bodies and Forbidden Foods': Media influence on body image and food intake." at the Behavioral Science Institute, Radboud University Nijmegen.
In her PhD project she experimentally investigated the effects of several forms of televised media on body image and eating behavior of young adults and children. The project largely focused on measuring actual behavior in naturalistic settings, using ecologically valid designs to increase the generalizability of findings. As a Post-Doctoral Researcher she will use different implicit (and experimental) research methods to investigate the processes underlying the effects of entertainment media.
