The project will investigate how media users feel after watching short-form videos versus spending the same amount of time watching a movie or TV show. It will compare how these two activities influence self-evaluations (e.g., feelings of guilt), recovery, and well-being. In addition, the project tests whether potential differences between the effects of short- and long-form video use are driven by the limited entertainment potential of short-form content or by users’ negative beliefs about the impact of social media use.
